Vectors and Laser Cutting

Laser cutting is becoming more and more important and common in all kinds of technical and non-technical industries. In this introductory, practical, small group after school camp, students will learn about vectors and how they are used to design and create models. Then, in ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½â€™s very own on-site Maker Lab, students will learn how to operate a Glowforge machine to cut their designs out of a variety of woods and acrylics to make them come to life.

When?

Every Monday, 4:30-6:00pm, April 3 - May 15, 2023 (NO CLASS April 24) - 6 sessions.

Who?

This camp is for students aged 12+.

Cost

The camp fee is $250 (including taxes and all materials).

If the fee is a barrier to your participation, a limited number of bursaries are available for eligible families - please email camps@visst.ca to inquire.

Additional Notes:

  • Students are encouraged to bring their own laptops but if you want to borrow one from us, we have a limited number available. Please email us to request one.

  • All laser cutting materials will be provided.

  • Refund policy: Email us at least 1 week (7 days) prior to the start of the camp for a full refund.
